i went there in the evening because i had another meet up in UM earlier.
Akay and Teng were volunteering for the event thus they had the free concert tix! while the rest of us, kak syikin, farah, pian, adam, nikamir and myself just having goodtime outside the area. rm40 for just few hours is ridiculous! haha
first we got in, wander around the market area , got some usual art stuff..

and we had two whole ayam golek fivestar fresh from pantai dalam! ahaha epic! with free (redeemable) soft drinks summore.
(also ciggy, but not many of us smoke, lol, this fact makes Teng very happy)
after that, we went upstairs to watch the most awaited movie of the decade : muallaf!  by late Yasmin Ahmad
it was actually a medium sized room with the projection on the wall as the screen and free scattered seating on the floor
duhh i got blocked by the people in front of me (i blocked others at the back too~) would be nice if they had cushion or pillows!

the rest of the story, i get my camera out of my bag.. so let the picture speaks for us and the event itself

duduk dekat meja skang boleh nampak beberapa perkara..

• tripod patah dah byk kali repair still xelok.. bole nampak dgn spirit tak level skang.. tapi still boleh guna, cuma kena lapik siket la..
  
• lutut yang dah bebulan oke tetiba saket balek.. krim pulak dah expired.. (dah lama sangat da rupanya tapi belum baik)
  
• hinge lappy da totally detached (lcd dgn body) tapi da ejas sket so die jadi guard je.. mmg lekat dekat cable je skang.. yang ni pun pakai konsep lapik lapik jugak
  
• filp cover phone da patah. separa bogel dan tak lagi menarek perhatian rakan rakan
• kamera yang malas nak sebut the flaw nanti la baru pegi repair
• vmware yang takbole updet kernel or something.. sangap microsoft ofc gak aa.. susah woo pakai openoffice~
  
• vbox yang x recognise img.. dah format manual pun xjadi jugak.. dulu dulu guna macam senang je.. dah lama x tgk fedora ngan w7
  
• external keyboard yang bukak pastu duk main2 sampai malas nk pasang balik.. farewell je ahh~
• pokok kaktus masih bertahan sehingga arini.. tapi yang satu tu dah nipis sebab kurang air takde org jaga masa cuti raya haji. patutnya tebal.
• selain sepeket kecik biskut, takde makanan lain. aku lapa. n xrasa biskut tu membuka selera.

Sunday's Embun Mission

a peaceful landscsape in UTP

i always adore the pavements here that connects the cafetaria building with the hostel.

just like the setting in SEPI, the beautiful movie that i watch over and over again.

its in Taiping, if my memory serves me right.

i have to shoot this very frame, again.

reason being is that the shadow of the braches that shades the walkway that never failed cacthes my eyes.

maybe sometimes in the noon.

(note that this picture is taken early in the morning)

i hope u can absorb some kind of peaceful feeling, too ^_^

ulu chepor, 2009.
percubaan slow shutter yang tampak tidak sharp disitu

jumaat lepas, kami semua mensyukuri nikmat cuti umum dengan berkunjung ke Ulu Chepor.
cantik tempatnya, pokok2 meneduhi pusat mandi manda pilihan kami, takdela sunburnt kang, hihi
perkelahan kami sangat awesome dengan proper brunch, air kelapa, kuih muih dan guess what, durian pun ade skali~! enak sungguh perut kami. menjamu selera diselang selikan dgn merendam perut didalam air adalah sungguh indah~

sejam kemudian.. runtuhan awan mula berlaku.. disamping air yang semakin deras, titisan hujan turut menyimbah kami. kami bergegas pulang. itulah yang telah kami deal dalam safety briefing pada awal sesi perkelahan kami tadi.

namun percutian kami tidak ends begitu sahaja.. dengan dressing n mekap yang agak melebih2 dari hari biasa walaupun baru mandi sungai, kami plan nak pegi ipoh pula. bukan nak kata apa la, kan.. macam nak pegi mane je mekap sungguh2, tapi rupanya selipar adalah sungguh x suits the theme. ahh, selipar jamban pun redah aje~

apapun, perut jugak yang diutamakan, lalu kami makan dalam bilik seperti dalam gambar.. kebetulan pula ada mesin nyanyi. percuma pulak tu.. kami tekan dan jerit je la apa yang patut.

saje attach gamba sekecik yang boleh.. kang obvious pulak mekap kami yang memang obvious pun ni..
wakaka~~

ade satu subjek. subjek dikelilingi background.
dkt foreground pun ade samting gak.
background tuh da default, so nothing much can be done aa..
tp framing mmg depends kat how widen/zoomed dkt area tu..
then the subjek ni plak patut kne aa sharp, kan..
foreground bokeh2 je.. tp foregrounders ni demand lebih2 plak.
nk grab those items tu cam kne usaha lebih lak..
kdg2 xrelate lak ngan subjek tuh..
menambah semak ade aa
kalo dpt foreground tuh elok2 tape aa,
subjek tu leh say hi kat the backgrounders gak aa..
tp name pun subjek.
main item aa kan, ne leh eliminate gtu2 je.
tapi skang mmg foreground tuh yg cover major area of the said frame.

kalo nak focus sume kang.. means possibilities nak underexposuredkan the whole things tu tinggi. kalotak pun kang bising2 plak.
thing is, they dont blend very well together.

las year all the way dr melaka pegi to KLPF 08 @ times square. siyesli bes. memang berbaloi!

what do i get? knowledge. experience. shopping. its when the enjoy-me redefined. built-in flash diffuser aku tu bli kt cni aa..
oh ye. aku jatuh chenta ngan thinktank pun kt cni gak.
pouch-bag like punye bag. (lgpun masetu g keje mmg pakai pouch bag) so aku rase soo much more convenient as compared to my current camera bag. xsway, ade weight reduction system bla2.

tp smpai skang aku still dgn old bag yg da koyak2. ala janji padding die ok, setel aa, kan. nk kate xde duet.. xleh, duet ade je tp xbli smpai duet tu abes camtu2 je. x cukup source of income? job yg lepas pun ade lg x setel2. pemalas!

kemaskini, pengakuan, luahan, azam & kesimpulan

1) i've created a new url for my photoblog. http://www.flickr.com/photos/noreena/ feel free to visit and do drop comments n ciritics.

2) something came up yesternight (while we are having dinner). so i left early.

sorry i didn't make it for mekdi-ing. maybe not in the mood.

3) its been a while since i last hangout with the boyfriends, taking photos. they demand models n girls. but nobody can get one. i can't help though. shooting aweks is not my cup of tea. so yesterday's plan ends up with nothing. i startled by the kupih's shot of birds and feel like going to that kind of place. zhee was right. how can i do that with my 18-55mm? so no outing for today.

4) i need to get rid of these kind of uneasy feelings because i need to do my FYP slides tonight. plus, i can't eat nor sleep well today but i need to sleep n eat well from now on.

5) i don't know what did i do this whole semester but.. hey this is life!

few days back.. tambah hobi baru lak.. thanks kawan2 yg kne melayan pm2 noobs dr aku.. haha.. da bleh pgl hobi ke? lek aa, cita2 kne tinggi, haha.. tapi tape, buat2 cam wat fyp aa.. final year kne tensen2 sket rasenye.. padahal aku strugle main celen, bukan wat fyp. abes ngan osmet2 skali terpalit kne layan soalan aku bukan2..

dan semua tu membuatkan aku rase lain ah final yr ni..
weekdays agak leisure~

(gossiping is no cool,even worst if we had it put emotionally logic)

according to a good book of photograpy that i've read, there are three stages of people in this field behave.
stage 1.
we love taking pictures. so a camera is a need. anykind of camera will do. soon, we discovered there are many methods of taking pictures. where we found a ourself crave for a better camera, where we can take control on many things. so we can take better pictures now.

stage 2.
later we'll found that we still took ugly pictures that don't deserve any byte of memory on ur hard disk. so more technics n tricks are learnt in order to improve every single exposure we made. we even once had our status gtalk to be 'its the person behind the viewfinder that matters, a camera is merely a tool without the skill', or two. we are now just utilise what ever tool that we have, n proven to have simply beautiful pictures with the very camera we had when hundreds of them went straight away to the recycle bin back then.

stage 3.
we shoot one, while our brain works on various way on how to get this piece far more better. even better, we are now certain on our interest, what kind of photography we enjoy most and what are the equipments that most suit in. so we'll started to have an upgrade of our weapon. a great tool increase our chances to get a superb shot just with a click.
